Elin & Tim

The more weddings I shoot the more I love seeing how people personalise their day. There are some absolutely beautiful venues out there that have gone above and beyond to create stunning backdrops whether it be manicured gardens, sumptuous decor or beautiful lighting… There are venues that excel at all and if I could move myself and the family in quite often that would be the dream, but for me there’s a real wholesome beauty in the simplicity of the fabric walls of a marquee. Elin and Tim built themselves into their own venue. Their origami butterflies strung from the ceiling between rich colourful pompoms gave colour and wooden tables lined with simple stems of rich burgundy and softer pastel blooms that wove themselves round shot glasses, slow gin and pub quizzes gave the tables a busy yet well styled look that was full of personality. Thoughtful details were wrapped up in everything about this wedding. The start of autumn this wedding was almost a celebration of just that in its colour and style. It had a beautiful sincere warmth about it and we enjoyed photographing it so much.
