I ran into Anneka’s mum and dads house the morning of the wedding due to the fact it was raining…. pretty torrentially! This was not what I had wanted for this gorgeous couple…. That said Anneka was totally unfazed by the rain and more worried she hadn’t left dental floss at home for Gareth! I love how these two work! There’s something so charming about how much Anneka cares for Gareth, it’s kind and it’s loyal yet with ample space to breath! I hadn’t realised that Gareth is equally gestured. After a busy morning of bridal prep Gareth’s dad Pete arrived to take Anneka to the ceremony….armed with a mix tape of meaningful songs put together by Gareth for the journey! I truly love little moments of surprising boy thoughtfulness! There’s not a place for it every day of the week, but wedding days are sooo allowed!!
Hyde Bank Farm (a genuine hidden jewel!) is a small but elegant, 17th century stone barn that overlooks the Goyt valley. The cool stone and the soft warmth of candlelight are romance wrapped up with a bow! A perfect spot for Anneka the now princess bride (thanks to the wonderful Danielle Horan (a favourite if you’re looking for a makeup artist – www.daniellehoranmakeup.co.uk ) and Jenna Robinson (hairdresser and soon to be sister in law/salon owner, no pressure!) ) to marry her tall, Charming, Gareth.
While the rain slowed we managed to grab some portraits. Often it’s a great chance for some quiet alone time on a wedding day for the bride and groom, and it was just that for these two. I simply loved taking these. Anneka and Gareth have the warmest families who didn’t just make us feel part of their day professionally, we really felt included, in the love, jokes and happiness of the day. A truly feel good day!
